Woke up to a beautiful, sunny, but cool day. Kara, Jason and the boys arrived at camp around noon. We decided to eat at camp before heading to the festival. It had been years since Kara and Jason had been to the Festival and Hunter and Keegan had never been. We split up with Hunter going with Kara and Jason and Keegan staying with Papaw and Memaw. We all met up back at the cars with our treasures. Keegan seemed to enjoy looking with us and Hunter found something to buy so I guess their first visit was a success. The festival closed at 5:00 so we took both the boys and headed back to camp. We had never left the festival at closing time so when we ran into a huge traffic jam about 3 miles outside Rockville, we were surprised. It took us 45 minutes to drive through 3 miles. Note to us: always leave the festival well before closing time!
We stopped at Gobbler's Knob for the first ice cream of the season. At camp, we had our first campfire and enjoyed smores before going to bed. It will be a busy day tomorrow.
