Day 7 - A Work Day

This is the day I needed to do laundry, shop, and clean.   We went shopping first so I could buy some laundry stain remover.  I forgot mine and camping, even with an RV, can be hard on clothes.  I did laundry at camp.  The laundry is very nice and the dryers actually dry quickly.  I put away clothes and did some light camper cleaning.  After doing all of this, a rest was called for.  It was a beautiful day, sunny with temperatures in the 70's.  We sat outside and soaked up the beauty of our surroundings.  About 2:30 we loaded up Sandy and went to get gas and then decided to take a hike.  We had been wanting to take the Cache la Poudre Bike/Hiking Trail but rain had stopped us.  We walked about a mile of the 2.5 mile trail.  It is a paved trail that ends up near downtown Ft. Collins.  There are several other trails that connect at some point with this one.  Part of the trail follows the Cache la Poudre River.  We enjoyed it and so did Sandy.  After supper we sat outside again.
Old-time form of transportation meets modern form of transportation.  Neither the cowboy or horses seemed to mind the traffic.

If we were to move out here, Carol could take this class and be a river guide!

The next few pictures were taken on the Cache la Poudre Bike/Nature Trail.

This tunnel was on the trail.

Sandy cooled her feet and took a cool drink in the river.
