We arrived at the KOA around 4:30 and found our spot #21. It is a corner lot with grass and much bigger than the one at Omaha. We are bummed about the fact that they have a new policy concerning visitors. Now each visitor must pay $10 per day to be on the KOA property. That means it would cost John and Linda $40 to visit us at our spot. Even though this is a nice KOA, we will not camp here again because we won't be able to visit with John and Linda here at the camp.
For supper we all went to a neat place where the food and decor was island-centered. The food was very good. As we were walking to the parking lot, it began to rain so we parted company for today. It has cooled down so we can turn off the air and open windows. We are very tired tonight so the cool air will help us relax and rest.
This sign was around the perimeter of a rest area in western Nebraska. Nearby was the dog walk. Neither Sandy or I felt much confidence in our safety as we were walking.
Carol and Sandy enjoyed the beauty of the rest area while being on the look out for snakes
These looked like big dandelions but were actually flowering thistles. They don't look so big in this picture but look at the picture above and you will see that they are nearly as big as Sandy's head.
This is what your camper will look like if you take a wrong onto a dusty road during the rain.
The John Mulvany family. I couldn't get Katie or Aidan to look my way for the picture.
