Albuquerque Balloon Festival - Part 1

It is 8:15 p.m. and because we got up at 3:45 a.m. it has been a long, long day.  I decided to not post pictures because we are going to bed at 9:00 p.m. so we can get up at 3:45 a.m. again.  The Balloon Fest this morning was awesome.  We didn't know what to expect but we really liked this morning.  We stayed until 10:00 a.m., came home, ate lunch, took naps, and returned to the Festival at 4:00 p.m.  The second session was not as good because it was too windy to put any balloons up in the air.  Basically, we spent the second session just walking around and watching people for two hours  We are very tired.  Tomorrow morning will be our last session.  We have already purchased tickets and the weather for the weekend looks rainy so we will use the final ticket tomorrow morning.  Canon sponsors the Festival.  They have a tent staffed with people who will clean your camera and one lens free so I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 5:30 a.m.  They actually take the first appointments at 4:00 a.m. but those were booked.  Anyway, we are hoping to wake up to calmer winds so balloons will take off.

That paragraph was basically our day minus pictures.  We plan to watch the Special Shape Rodeo which should end by 8:00 a.m. and then return to camp.  Then I will post pictures from both days.
