50th Anniversary Trip - Day 10: A Cup of Tea

Brrr...it was cold last night.  We finally broke down and turned on the heat.  It is the one thing about the motorhome that we had not tried out yet.  We were pleasantly surprised to feel warmth from the vents.  We also learned that the furnace runs on both electric and propane.  We will gladly use the electricity of the campground and not our propane.    Everyone was slow to get up so we didn't head out of the campground until nearly 11:00 a.m.  We decided to eat an early lunch and then head to Celestial Seasonings and Teas.
We had a beautiful day so I was able to take a picture of our site at St. Vrain State Park.  The site is big enough for our motorhome and John's tent with space left over.

A good picture of Katie and Aidan.

A happy family following a tour of Celestial Seasonings and  Teas.

We enjoyed the tour of Celestial Teas.  We were able to enter the manufacturing floor of the company.  Boulder, Colorado  is the only place that manufactures their product and the product is shipped all over the country and world.  It began in 1969 with a small group of young people who wanted to produce high quality teas that were made of high quality ingredients.

There was a beautiful sunset over one of the many ponds that form this state park.

We ended the day with a nice fire and roasted hot dogs and made smores.  By this time the temperatures were cool and the fire felt warm.
