Out and About in Florida

Today we had no agenda or plans.  We loafed around the campsite until about 10 a.m. when we left camp to find a car wash.  Carol can't stand a dirty car and ours definitely qualified as a dirty car.

For $11 we were able to satisfy Carol's desire for a clean car.

Next we needed to replace a couple of vent latches.    Before we left Decatur we ordered a replacement vent and had it shipped to John.  We picked it up last night.  Unfortunately the vent itself was not the proper size but the latches that came with the vent were perfect so we used the latches.  After an internet search, I found a RV store that supposedly carried latches so we drove 30 miles south to Avon Lake.  It was a nice drive but the RV store was a bust.

As we were driving north from Avon Lake, the sky began to cloud up.  These clouds got our attention because of the color shading.  The cloud went from white to pink/beige, blue and back to white.

On the way to Avon Lake we passed the Florida's Natural orange juice headquarters.  Tours are offered from October to March.  I guess you have to be a snowbird to take a tour.

We drove to the Pilot gas station located in Haines City.  It has RV lanes and we wanted to see how to enter the station, where the RV lanes were located, and how to exit the station.  The set up is very easy so we fill up with gas when we leave Monday morning.

Our last stop was the Publix which is like a Walmart except it carries only food and has a pharmacy.  It is interesting to check out other grocery stores.

Last stop was back at camp.  We got back about 2:30.  We relaxed in our recliner chairs and took naps.  It began to rain and it lasted nearly an hour.

At 5:00 we went to John's for supper.  As usual it was delicious.  We caught up with each of them and how their day went.  Returned to camp around 8:00.  This park has cable TV so we finally hooked it up and watched a little TV.  This is the first time since last Thursday we have watched TV.

The only thing on the agenda tomorrow is for John and Family to come to the camp for supper.  I hope it doesn't rain at suppertime.  It would be nice to be able to sit and eat outside.  We are having spaghetti and Aidan is looking forward to it.
