This and That in Winter Haven

1.  Ate breakfast at 7:00 a.m.  It was sausage and scrambled eggs, bacon, egg round, waffles, biscuits, bagels, toast.

2.  9:00 a.m.  checked out of room, stored luggage in office until we could check back in in larger room.

3.  9:30 a.m.  Stopped at Dollar Tree to pick up balloons for Katie's graduation celebration.

4.  10:00 a.m.  Arrived at John's and visited with him.

5.  11:00 a.m.  Picked up Aidan at school.

6.  12 noon went back to motel to move luggage from office storage to bigger room.

6.  3:00 p.m.  Picked up Katie at school.

7.  3-8:00 p.m.  Stayed with Aidan and Katie while John and Linda decorated and prepared food for Katie's graduation celebration.

8.  8:30 p.m.  Back to model and crashed.

As the listed schedule of the day shows we were basically doing "This and That in Winter Haven."  Looking forward to tomorrow when we will see Katie receive her diploma and celebrate that accomplishment with her.  We will be at John's at 7:00 a.m. and take he and Aidan to the high school stadium for the 9:00 a.m. graduation ceremony.  There are 405 graduates.

These dark clouds were appearing in the sky this morning at John's but it didn't rain.  We hope for the same tomorrow...cloudy but no rain to help with the hot temperature scheduled for Saturday.

This is Pixie and below is Celie.  We also watched them this afternoon.

The picture above and below were sent to us from our neighbor.  We have been hearing about the cicadas immergence for a few month.  It happened while we were on our trip but I am sure they will still be there when we get home.  This spring has been a display of unusual nature occurrences...the total eclipse of the sun, northern lights seen in Central Illinois, and now this enormous emergence of cicadas.  Cicadas only emerge every 13 or 17 years but this year they both emerge.

It was a busy day but not much to write.  Must finish up and go to bed early because we have to be at John's at 7:00 a.m.
