Home

We were on the road by 8:00 am.  The traffic was light and the drive pleasant.  When we had driven down to Florida we saw a new Buc-ee's had opened on I-65 North.  We didn't have the spare time to stop then so we planned to stop on the way back.

.
This is the back of the Buc-ee's.  Gas was only $2.89 per gallon so Jason filled up and then we all spent time in the store.  We decided to buy sandwiches and eat on the road to save time.

Buc-ee's is a Huck's or Casey's on steroids.  We all managed to find something to buy!

This is the capitol building in Nashville.  I decided to take a different picture to represent Nashville.  Normally, I would post a picture of the batman building.
I love the drive north from Nashville on I-24.  The road is cut through walls of rock.

The red bud trees were beginning to bloom.  Spring is here.

The traffic was light until we reached I-24 north of Nashville, then traffic and it's jams occurred several times.

We were all happy to see the Illinois Stateline sign.

Keegan is learning Illinois history at school so when we drove through Vandalia, we told him about  Vandalia  being the first state capitol.  Here is a quick picture as we drove by.

Keegan was happy first because we were home and second because of his new Buc-ee's tee-shirt.

We pulled into the Ozee driveway at 5:45.  We were all tired and glad to be home but we enjoyed the trip very much.  It was wonderful to watch Hunter march with his band at Disney and the bonus was getting a short visit with John and Family.  No more trips to Disney unless Keegan continues with band and that will mean another grandson marching at Disney in three years.
