The landscape was varied but all pretty in its own way. Northeastern Wyoming was rolling hills and some rock outcroppings. As we got closer to Montana, we began to see mountains in a distance with snow on them. We saw lots of pronghorn antelope in Wyoning only. I guess they know the statelines and don't cross them. We saw lots of cattle and some sheep. I-25 is not as heavily traveled but we went up and down many hills. Sometimes the truck was only able to go 45 MPH. A time or two, I thought I would have to get out and push.
When we got into Montana, we saw rolling hills of cut hay. There must have been 100's of acres of what had been hay. The landscape changed to mountains with pine trees and large rock-strewn areas. Unfortunately, it was hazy and my pictures don't do the mountains justice.
For most of the day, we didn't even listen to the radio. We just drove soaking in God's beautiful world. We think it is about 300 miles from here to Glacier or about a six hour drive. Hopefully, we will get out of here early so we can get set up by early afternoon. We plan to stay at Glacier for two or three days. It will be a treat to stay in one place for a little while.
